Activate your license

Exchange the license key from your purchase email for a registry API key. You only need to do this once.

What to do with your API key

  1. Install the tool: pip install surframe
  2. Sign a container as usual: surx keygen then surx sign
  3. Notarize it in the public transparency log:
surx seal trainset.surx --api-key surx_your_key_here

Or set it once in your environment and drop the flag: SURX_API_KEY=surx_your_key_here

Verification never needs a key, an account, or the registry. surx verify and surx check-seal work offline, for anyone, forever — that part is free and open source and always will be.

Lost your API key? Come back here and activate the same license again: you'll get a fresh key and the old one stops working.
